Event Day Timetable – Sunday 4 March 2018
7.30 – 10.30am: Registration in main marquee at Waipa Recreation Area.
9.00am: Start of the Lance Lawson Little Devils 1.5km Fun Run/Walk (3 – 6 yrs)
9.10am: Start of the Lance Lawson Little Devils 2.5km Fun Run/Walk ( 7 – 10yrs)
9.45am: Start of the Redstag Timber 5km Fun Run/Walk
10.00am: Start of the Copthorne Half Marathon
10.15am: Little Devils Prize-giving
11.00am: Start of the Mitre 10 Mega Quarter Marathon Fun Run/Walk
Copthorne Rotorua Half Marathon
The event is a two lap course utilising scenic trails and smooth gravel forest roads. Entrants must be 16years of age or older on event day. There will be a cut off time for the Half Marathon to commence your second lap.
Mitre 10 Mega Quarter Marathon
This non-competitive event completes one lap of the course utilising scenic forest trails and smooth gravel forest roads. Entrants must be 12 years of age or older on event day.
Redstag Timber 5km Fun Run/Walk
This non-competitive event completes one lap of the course utilising scenic forest trails and smooth gravel forest roads. Competitors must be 10 years or older on race day.
Lance Lawson Little Devils 1.5km and 2.5km
A 1.5km fun run/walk for children aged 3 to 6 years and a 2.5km fun run/walk for children aged 7 to 10 years. Both options are non-competitive, fully supervised and take place prior to the adult events starting.
Registration/Race Bag Collection
Registration/Race Bag Collection is on Sunday morning only between 7.30am and 10.30am within the main marquee at the Waipa Sawmill Recreation area. Please bring your registration confirmation with you to assist the registration process.Late entries will be accepted on the day up until 10.30am. NO eftpos facilities available. Cash or cheque only please.
Drink stations are available at the 5km, 10km, 16km and finish area. Sports drink and water will be provided at the 10km and finish area, water only will be provided at the 5km and 16km stations.
Toilets are available at the start/finish area.
We value our walkers and wish to ensure that the experience of taking part in either of these great off-road events in Rotorua is a positive experience for all competitors. We rely on entrant’s integrity that walkers WALK the complete event. Please participate in the spirit of the event and abide by the walking criteria. Any walking competitor seen running will automatically be classified in the running results. No correspondence will be entered into.
The event is conducted by officials and friends of the Lake City Athletic club and conducted under the rules of Athletics NZ. Participants shall adhere to all marshals and officials instructions. Decisions of race officials will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Event race numbers are to be placed on the front of your singlet or shirt. No Ipods or headphones are to be worn in any of these events, no exceptions.
