Next Moonride

The 2018 Nzo Moonride will be held on 14th April.

The iconic Moonride will be held at the Waipa Mountain Bike Area off State Highway 5 and use the stunning Whakarewarewa Forest trails.

2018 Online Entries will open 1st November 2017!

The Nzo Moonride course will entail a mix of grade 2 – 3 mountain bike trails and forestry roads to allow for easy passing. There will be a new course for 2018. More detail will be released once the course has been designed.

Trek 24 Hour Event: Teams of 2 – 5 or Solo riders (if we do not have more than 20 teams entered by the 14th march we will have to pull the 24 Hour event).
Jaybird 12 Hour Event: Teams of 2 – 5 or Solo riders
Pig & Whistle 6 Hour Event: Teams of 2 – 5 or Solo riders

The 24 hour event starts at 10pm Friday night and goes through until 10pm Saturday. This is for the serious boys and girls, or those after a real challenge! The 12 hour event starts at 10am Saturday morning and goes through until 10pm. These events are open to solo riders and teams of 2 – 5 people. The 6 hour event starts at 10am Saturday morning and goes through to 4pm. It is open to solo riders and teams of 2 – 5 people.

Teams ride the 9km circuit and complete as many laps as they can within the timeframe of their event. Tents, campervans and caravans pop up in the campsites which riders wind their way through each lap creating an electric atmosphere and unbelievable experience.
