This is the first time ever in the 13 year history of the event that the 100 K Flyer event is cycling in the direction from Taupo to Rotorua. Riders will start in Taupo at the Taupo Events Centre, cycle along the Ironman course to Reporoa. Here cyclists turn left across to the Reporoa Dairy factory turning right onto State Highway 5 and along past Waiotapu turning left into Tumunui Rd, right into Corbett Rd, Rehi Rd, Twist Rd, Bryce Rd and then right onto State Highway 30. The event finishes on Fenton Street outside the Copthorne Hotel (previously Kingsgate) in a great street setting.

What a fantastic achievement to cycle 100 K on this course through some of the most scenic countryside in NZ from one tourist Mecca to another, Taupo to Rotorua. Cyclists of all ability levels can tackle the 100 K course as a solo, on a tandem or in a relay team of two.

A great way to spend a weekend, with thousands of other riders! There are over $100,000 worth of spot prizes and giveaways up for grabs. Prize-giving will be held at 3.30pm at the Copthorner Hotel (previously Kingsgate) on Fenton St, Rotorua. This event is open to anyone and everyone with a bike!
